Add Plug-in Camera Steps

This article is applicable to plug-in cameras that support Wireless Wi-Fi Connection. For those that also support Wired Ethernet Connection, see Ethernet Connection for Plug-in Cameras.

Choose Installation Location

1.Before setup, select a suitable location for your camera, ensuring a strong Wi-Fi signal and optimal viewing angle. Keep in mind that the camera requires a power outlet connection for operation, so ensure an outlet is within reach.

Power on and Enter Pairing Mode

2.Connect your camera to the power outlet using the provided cable. Once plugged in, the camera will automatically power on with a startup sound.

3.Wait for the camera to enter pairing mode automatically: After powering on, the camera will perform a pan-tilt calibration. Following this, it will enter pairing mode automatically, indicated by a continuous ‘Ding Dong Ding Dong’ sound.

Note: During the first-time setup, the camera should enter pairing mode automatically. If not, either press and hold the reset button or use the provided pin to poke the reset hole, both located near the MicroSD card slot.

Connection Methods

Before proceeding to App Setup, note that there are two ways to add your camera to the app:

  • Bluetooth Connection (Fastest, Recommended)
  • QR Code Connection (Alternative when Bluetooth is not available, fails, or for devices that do not support Bluetooth Connection)

App Setup

4.Enable Bluetooth for your phone and for the app in your phone’s settings.

Note: For Android phones, enabling Bluetooth on the device is sufficient. For iOS phones, make sure to also grant the app permission to use Bluetooth.

5.Open the app.

6.Tap “Add camera now” and follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to a Wi-Fi network.

Note: The camera only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi.

7.Once connected, name your camera and set its location for easy identification and quick filtering.

Final Configurations

8.On the app’s homepage, tap on the “setting” icon – Settings icon.PNG to set your preferences for motion tracking, motion detection, notifications, recordings, alarms, and any other features.
