What is Cool Down Time?

Cool Down Time refers to the interval between video captures during which the device does not respond to PIR (Passive Infrared) triggers. Once the cool-down time period ends, if there is a PIR trigger along with motion detection, the device immediately initiates video recording.

Minimizes False Triggers: The Cool Down Time feature effectively reduces false triggers caused by environmental factors or minor disturbances, ensuring that only valid PIR triggers accompanied by motion are captured. Prevents Excessive Recordings: By introducing a Cool Down Time interval, the device avoids capturing videos in rapid succession, preventing an excessive number of captures triggered by PIR detection.

Configuring Cool Down Time:

To configure the Cool Down Time feature for video recording, follow these steps:

Tap the device setting icon on the app’s homepage.
Tap “Motion Detection”.
Locate “Recording Setting”.
Enable “Cloud Cooldown”.
Set the desired cooldown interval by tapping “Cloud Cooldown Time” and choosing from the available options: 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, or 5 minutes, based on your requirements.

Note:

The specific configuration steps may vary depending on your device model. Some devices have limited interval options and are restricted from disabling Cool Down Time. To unlock additional interval options or disable Cool Down Time for those devices, consider purchasing a subscription.
